NOTICE OF COMPLETION OF TENTATIVE ASSESSMENT ROLL
(Pursuant to Section 506 and 1526 of the Real Property Tax Law)
Notice is hereby given that as of May 1, 2021, the Assessor for the Town and Village of Coxsackie, County of Greene, has completed the Tentative Assessment Roll for the current year, and that a copy has been filed with the Coxsackie Town Clerk’s Office. Due to Covid-19 restrictions (Executive Order 202.22), the tentative assessment roll is available for viewing until Grievance Day online, on both the Town of Coxsackie website (coxsackie.org) and the Greene County website(www.greene.sdgnys.com). The assessor will only be available by phone or email (email@example.com) Please feel free to call 518 731-6893 with any questions or concerns.
The Board of Assessment Review will meet on May 26, 2021 from 4pm until 8pm to hear and examine all complaints in relation to assessments on the application of any persons believing himself/herself to be aggrieved. Grievances will be heard remotely ONLY, no walk ins. All complaints must include the Grievance form and written substantiation, and must be received via mail, fax or email before Grievance Day. - Assist taxpayers in filling out and submitting exemption forms
- Maintain property transfer records
Attention Property Owners
AS A RESULT OF RECENT NYS LAW CHANGES THE STAR PROGRAM IS BEING RESTRUCTURED
NEW STAR recipients will receive a check directly from the New York State Tax Department instead of receiving an exemption on their school tax bill. The amount of the benefit will be the same.
Your local Town Assessor will NO LONGER be accepting ‘New’ STAR Exemption Applications.
